About the course: Spanish I-A and I-B are each one-year courses such that the entire Spanish I curriculum can be completed in two years.
Spanish 1a takes students through the first half of Bob Jones Spanish 1 for Christian Schools curriculum. (Students will complete one-fourth of the text during fall 2010 and one-fourth during spring 2011. They will complete the textbook in Spanish I-B during the 2011-2012 school year).
Using a variety of settings such as the church, the home, shopping centers and travel abroad, the book presents students with the most basic building blocks for the Spanish language.
During the course, students will learn through fun and interactive activities, such as games, skits, videos and conversations with classmates.
At the culmination of the course, students will be able to recognize basic verb conjugation, converse on a very basic level (telling time, introducing themselves, etc.), and should be able to write a short paragraph or letter.
How much does it cost? $150 per semester
