Who teaches it? Mrs. Misty Irwin (with Mrs. Judy Monro)
Mrs. Irwin is a TG parent who has extensive training in voice and performance, including a vocal performance college degree and three years of co-leading the Brighton High School musicals. She has directed the TG Chorus for several years, providing the teens with excellent training, outstanding and creative recitals, challenging pieces of music, and very enjoyable weekly classes.
Mrs. Irwin is now offering this program to the Training Ground students through Next Generation Theatre, Amanda Ladwig’s company, which is providing the administrative oversight (facility reservations, recital plans, etc.) for the choral program. Amanda Ladwig is the TG’s regular Drama instructor, and she established the NGT specifically to enhance the Arts opportunities for Christian homeschoolers.
Mrs. Judy Monro is an accomplished pianist and piano teacher who has in these recent years teamed up with Misty Irwin (her former piano student) to provide this amazing Choral opportunity for homeschooled teens. Mrs. Monro is a dedicated Christian, a talented musician, and a sincere fan of homeschooled kids, many of whom she has instructed for years.
