French II-B, Spring ‘10
Who is eligible? Pre-requisite – completion of French I and French II-A, and one semester of French II-B, or previous study of one and one half years of French class from a school program. This course will complete the second half of French II.

Who teaches it? Mr. John Mongeon
Mr. Mongeon is a former TG member parent who is a sales professional for Ricoh Americas in Upstate New York. He has a BA in French from St. John Fisher College and a diploma from the University of Paris, Sorbonne in French Studies. Mr. Mongeon attained fluency in the language by spending 12 months as a foreign exchange student in Paris. He also worked for the Lions Club of France for two summers as a college student.
Mr. Mongeon taught our TG French I-A, I-B, II-A, and one semester of II-B courses over the past three and a half years; the students love his enthusiasm for the language.
About the course: Objectives:
To develop expertise in French II using lecture, verb conjugating, written homework weekly, French culture discussions and video/CD learning. Same textbooks as last year; students will use the second half of the book: Langue et Louange French 2A, A Beka Book.
This is a year-long course and requires a year’s commitment; however, payments will be separated into two semesters.
How much does it cost? $150 per semester
What does it include? Instruction, conversation.
What do I need to bring? Student needs the textbook Langue et Louange French 2A, A Beka Book.
Course requires homework 30-60 minutes per week plus quizzes.
