Chess – winter ‘10

Who is eligible?   All members; all levels of play; boys and girls.

When is it?   Fridays, 1:00-2:00 PM, on the following dates in 2009:

Jan 8, 15, 22, 29

Feb 5, 12

Who teaches it?   Rochester Chess Center Instructors

The RCC instructors come to our TG building to explain strategies, give tips during games, tell stories, and share their excitement for the game of Chess.

About the course:   Structured, but informal, this course encourages new and veteran chess players to keep improving their skills and varying their strategies. Games like Bughouse are popular with the students, and they learn to use time clocks for certain games. Time flies on Fridays!

These classes are held AT THE TRAINING GROUND.

How much does it cost?   $40

What does it include?   Professional instruction, gameboards, and all supplies.

What do I need to bring?   Just come with a positive attitude.
