The Mancinis especially enjoy reading C.S. Lewis, books on church history, theology, apologetics, and western civilization. They enjoy family travel, walks, and cookouts.
The Mancinis have two sons: Chet graduated from Wheaton College (a Christian college in the Chicago area) with a B.S. in Computer Science and, after working as a programmer with an investment firm in Wheaton, IL, Chet completed a Masters of Engineering program at Cornell University and now works as a software engineer for Intent Media in NYC. Nathan graduated in 2013 from Grove City College in Western PA with a B.S. in Marketing Management. Nathan’s skills include filmmaking and editing; he recently directed a feature film called Asleep in a Storm, which has showed in some theatres and colleges and will soon be on DVD. Nathan is the video editor for Earthlink Communications here in Rochester, and he is engaged to be married November 2013 to his college sweetheart Megan. Both our sons enjoy leading or participating in Bible Studies, and both have been very instrumental in planning/instructing some former courses at the TG—Chet taught Computer Science classes for several summers, and Nathan directed the TG Puppet Troupe for six years, co-taught Informal Logic, and taught summer courses in Video Editing.
Becky and Chuck credit Chet and Nathan for giving the TG club such a positive atmosphere from the start as they hosted (and attended) literally over a thousand activities and relished the opportunities! But GOD be praised for His regular provision for the center, the camaraderie of terrific teens from so many wonderful local homeschool families, and the eagerness of outstanding parents and professionals who dedicate themselves to weekly instruction of life skills for our students. Without Christ we can do nothing, but with God all things are possible.
